about JESUS

How did you end up on this page?

Were you just clicking around our site, curious what an "About Jesus" page would say?
Did someone hand you a card or send you a link?
Did you land here by accident?

Maybe not.

We believe you’re here because the God who made you, knows you, and loves you… is pursuing you.

That’s who Jesus is.
He didn’t just come to set a great example (though He did).
He wasn’t just a brilliant teacher (though He was).
And He didn’t come just to do jaw-dropping miracles (though He did those too).

Jesus came to do what we couldn’t do for ourselves:

  • To die the death we deserve, so we could be forgiven

  • To rise from the dead, conquering sin and death once and for all

  • To give anyone who calls on His name a restored relationship with God

Not because of anything we’ve earned, but because of everything He’s done.

The Bible puts it like this:

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

So what does it mean to trust in Him?

Trusting in Jesus means that Jesus is your King, Lord, Savior, and Friend. He invites you into a personal relationship with Him. And that relationship isn't based on how good you are, but it is based on who Jesus is and what He has done for you through His life, death and resurrection. The Bible says if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Romans 10:9). Trusting looks like this:

A - Admit you’re a sinner in need of a Savior. On our own, we’re spiritually dead, separated from God and unable to fix it ourselves.

B - Believe that when Jesus died on the cross, He did it for you. He took your place.

C - Confess that Jesus is Lord, putting your trust in Him alone to save you and lead you.

This isn’t about becoming religious.
It’s about receiving a gift: the grace of God through Jesus.

And that’s why you’re here.
Not by accident… but because God is pursuing you.
Not to shame you, but to rescue you.
Not to give you a list of rules, but to offer you a relationship.

The best news in the world is that Jesus is alive, and He’s inviting you to know Him.

You're not alone.

If you've recently trusted in Jesus Christ, we'd love to celebrate with you! This journey is not meant to be walked alone. If you would like someone to come alongside you in the coming months - to pray with you, read the Bible with you and support you as you take your next steps - we would love to connect you with someone in our church family.
